CARDINAL LIVESTOCK SCALES

 Cardinal Scale’s SLS series steel deck single animal livestock scales are available with or without a livestock pen and dual slide-out gates. They feature an extremely-accurate 2,500 lb x 0.5 lb or 5,000 lb x 1 lb capacity, varying widths and lengths, four model TB 2,500 lb stainless steel load cells with adjustable support feet, side-access stainless steel junction box, rubber mat interior flooring for sure footing and noise reduction, NTEP certification, and quality construction throughout the scale for weighing cattle, swine, horses, sheep, goats, and more.  Cardinal Scale’s mobile Weight Wrangler group animal scales provide a self-contained NTEP legal-for-trade weighing system that can be used on any firm surface with up to a 5% grade. The livestock scales include an integral air pump to easily lift and lower the trailer’s air bag suspension. Models come in 18-ft-long tandem axle or 13-ft-long single axle sizes. The X-lug rubberized component deck and steel cattle pen enclosure with dual gates are all suspended at four points within a mobile base frame. The Weight Wrangler can weigh groups of cattle up to 15-20 head at a time (20,000 lb capacity). The scale includes a weight indicator, ticket printer, USB port, battery, self-adjusting electric brakes, and adjustable hitch height. Solar panels are optional.

LSM series scales include high-quality X-lug flooring standard, which is the the livestock industry standard rubber floor for cattle handling. There is allocated open spacing between X-lug floor boards, which allows for easy wash out of scale after use. Other mobile and livestock scales on the market use a corrugated metal floor with a cover rubber mat, allowing livestock sewage to be trapped which leads to extensive rust damage.

Ideal for the ranching industry, the durable steel cattle pens are UV-protected with baked-on industrial tan powder paint for long-lasting endurance in the elements. The LSM’s 15” trailer tires with semi-grade airbag suspension provide smooth towing and handling during transportation. The load cell junction box with additional condensation protection is located inside the battery box for easy access. Three heavy-duty panels and bows are placed on 18-ft models, and Cardinal Scale’s panel construction is the heaviest in the industry for mobile and portable livestock scales.

A cattle blind for the mobile weighing center ensures that the operator doesn’t upset livestock while operating the scale during the weight transaction. The weatherproof mobile weighing center indicator and printer are mounted to the exterior of the livestock pen. Extra storage is available in the indicator/printer cabinet for spare ticket rolls or EDI reader wands.

The mobile weighing center calculates shrink loss for livestock groups and displays current head count, gross weight, and average weight. It also displays previous and total head count, gross weight, and average weight. The inclinometer eliminates the need to recalibrate the scale after transport. The self-contained scale provides legal-for-trade weights in multiple locations with up to a 5% tilt angle (maximum allowed by NTEP) in any direction.

Tail lights and reflectors come standard with Cardinal Scale’s LSM series, while competitors only offer this an optional add-on. Tail lights on the LSM are hard-wired inside the battery box, so there’s no plug to work loose. Also, the tail light wiring is run inside the lower frame, so this makes for a faster setup. On competitors’ scales, the user has to remove the external lights and wiring before they can start using the scale.

Cardinal Scale’s weight indicators feature StableSENSE® digital filtering that filters the weight signal to produce a stable weight display in spite of motion on the scale platform due to animal movement. The Weight Wrangler arrives fully assembled which ensures a quick start-up so the scale is ready for work as soon as it’s delivered.

 Ideal for stockyards, feed lots, and private farms, Cardinal’s fully-electronic Harvester livestock scales feature pre-cast concrete decks and include livestock pens and two-end swing gates with easy-close latches (arrives factory assembled). The diamond pattern concrete deck provides sure footing for livestock. The 0.8-inch-high gap between the concrete deck and steel livestock pen allows space for easy washout cleaning and is not visible to cattle from above. The NTEP legal-for-trade LSC series farm scale utilizes Cardinal’s 20,000-lb model SB stainless steel shear beam load cells which feature superior welded waterproof seals and protection against caustic, corrosive environments. Available in 12.5, 25, or 30 ton overall capacities. Sizes up to 52.5 ft long x 10 ft wide.
